NACO develops master plans for Saudi airports PDF Print E-mail

Amsterdam -- NACO (Netherlands Airport Consultancy Co. ltd.) has been appointed by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia to develop master plans and functional terminal concepts for 13 regional and domestic airports. Ben Hasselman, NACO CEO, said his company’s “integral planning expertise and long-term presence in Saudi Arabia provides a unique basis for developing a successful concept... Apart from technical services, NACO will conduct an environmental analysis, financial economic analysis and investigate the opportunities to increase the non-aeronautical revenues by development of the commercial area " he added.

The Dutch daily, De Telegraaf, reported that K. Cluasterziel, a veteran who knows Saudi Arabia since forty years, would manage this gargantuan project.

This is not the first time that NACO works in Saudi Arabia. In the past it took part in the construction and maintenance of 9 Saudi airports including King Khalid Airport in Riyadh
